For accountancy practices

More capacity,without more hires.

We act as an extension of your team on the work you have too much of. You keep the client, the relationship and the name on the file.

The offer

The offer

You have more work than people. Hiring is slow, permanent, and hard to reverse if January turns out quieter than forecast.

We give you capacity you can scale up and down. Scope, team and turnaround are agreed with you at the start, and the support moves with your workload.

Scope

What we take on

  • Day-to-day books
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Management accounts
  • Year-end paperwork
  • Financial reporting
  • Any other back-office work we agree with you

The relationship

Your client stays yours

The practice remains the client’s primary and controlling relationship. Everything goes back through you.

If you want us in front of a client for something specific, we can be. That happens only when you ask.

Engagement

How the engagement works

  • Scope agreed first. What we do, who does it, and how quickly it comes back — written down before anything starts.

  • Scale with your workload. Take more capacity in busy periods and less in quiet ones, without carrying permanent headcount.

  • Notice for peaks. Two to four weeks’ notice for planned capacity. Urgent requests are taken as they come.

  • Clear terms. Six-month minimum term on ongoing work, then 30 days’ notice.

Information security

How we look after your data

You are a data controller with duties to your own clients. Here is what stands behind the work we do for you.

  • Your data stays in systems you already trust.

Client records live in Xero and QuickBooks. We work inside your instance or ours, as you prefer, and we do not take copies out of it.

  • Access is limited to the people on your account.

Named people, granted access when the engagement starts and removed when it ends or when somebody leaves. Nobody has standing access to a client they do not work on.

  • Every account needs more than a password.

Multi-factor authentication on every system that can reach client data, with no exceptions for convenience.

  • Encrypted in transit and at rest.

Files move over encrypted connections and are stored encrypted. We do not send client records as email attachments.

  • Transfers outside the UK are covered in writing.

Our team in India and the UAE work under the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the standard contractual clauses. You can ask for a copy.

  • You are told quickly if anything goes wrong.

If your data were ever at risk we would tell you straight away, so you can meet your own 72-hour duty to the ICO rather than finding out late.

Standards we work to

  • Complied with

UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018

    UK data protection law

We handle personal data as a controller under UK law, and as a processor when we work inside your systems on your clients’ data.

  • Certification in progress

    Cyber Essentials

IASME, on behalf of the NCSC

The UK government’s baseline: firewalls, secure configuration, access control, malware protection and patching.

  • Certification in progress

    ISO/IEC 27001

    UKAS-accredited certification body

The international standard for managing information security. Our controls are built around it.

We do not display a certification we do not hold. If your practice needs a specific standard in place before you can appoint us, ask on the first call and we will tell you exactly where we are.

Delivery

Where the work is done

Across the UK and India, by our own people in both.
